Notice Description

Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award. Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to Canterbury Christchurch University. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. The scope of the contract is to deliver a bespoke Postgraduate Certificate in Health Care Practice (M level 7, 60 credits) comprising three modules over the 12-month duration of the programme undertaken with Canterbury Christchurch University: * Module 1: Healthcare Practice (M level 20 credits) * Module 2: Leadership: Advancing Innovation and Transforming Healthcare (M level 20 credits) * Module 3: Negotiated Module; professional development (M level 20 credits) based on a systematic, reflective inquiry into an of service development based on clinical specialist field of study (M level 20 credits) These modules, whilst appropriate to extending the skills of GPs, are also designed to be relevant to a multi-disciplinary Advanced Clinical Practice pathway. Heath Education England [HEE] believe that Canterbury Christchurch University is the only HEI suitable to provide the specific educational requirements of HEE's SPIN New To Practice Fellowships. CCU is the only supplier with the requisite expertise and experience to assist HEE in fulfilling the national deliverables and actions of the GP Forward View: Improvement of different aspects of leadership to enable the Fellows' learning about themselves as leaders as well as being introduced to a range of leadership tools which support their project development. Coordinating and working with employers in ensuring the provision of support for GPs at the start of their career to support a portfolio career, while enhancing professional development and workplace-based experience throughout. Facilitating growth of the medical workforce through retention interventions, with a focus on providing appropriate, accessible educational opportunities and support for new qualified GPs at a regional level. The financial envelope for the contract is PS98,000.
