Soft Market Test - day services to support adults with Acquired Brain Injuries
Notice Description
Our Requirements: We want to have an offer of a sustainable specialised Day Opportunity for adults with eligible care and support needs arising from an ABI. The current demand stands at 14 people some requiring 1:1 support, with an expected future demand of around 6 people per year. This exercise should enable us to gain a clear understanding of the market's interest, capacity and experience to deliver day opportunities to adults with ABI's. Ultimately, we are looking for a solution that will: * Provide a cost effective, sustainable, quality day opportunity provision, which is person centred, for adults with ABI's to meet our expected demand. * Ensure sufficient staffing levels, some 1:1's, dependant on the service users' needs. * Offer appropriately trained staff within, but not exclusively, Acquired Brain Injury and associated cognitive, emotional, physical and behavioural needs, moving/handling, specialists communication skills, First Aid and medical training. * Provide a building with the specification to meet the needs of service users with sensory needs, personal care needs (changing places), have ample space in rooms and corridors to allow movement for ambulant and wheelchair users to move around. The building must meet regulations and building standards. * Align to a financial model that recognises different levels of care and support needed and effective spending of public money. * Ensure market stability.
