Notice Description

The University of Plymouth is looking for potential suppliers who can offer occupational health provision for students on professional health and social care courses for up to 1400 new students per annum - approximate student breakdown: Plymouth 1235, Exeter 75 and Truro 90 (numbers can vary according to commissioning and recruitment). Occupational health clearance usually take place between March and September annually - NB The vast majority of students must have been processed by 1 September each year. The immunisation programme is dictated by individual course requirements with approximately 100 students requiring screening before September and the remaining students being seen for initial screening/immunisations/blood tests in September and followed up over the next three months. The supplier will also provide ongoing support for the students as they complete their courses in all these locations: Plymouth, Exeter, Truro, Torbay and Taunton. Approximately 350 students will require further complex assessment, treatment and referral per annum. Estimated value for a 3 + 1 contract will be approximately PS1,500,000. NB Participation in this engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist to inform the University as to the level of interest from the market and may be used to evidence a decision as to whether or not to undertake a competitive procurement.
