Mary Seacole Leadership Course for Foundation Doctors
Notice Description
Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award. Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to the NHS Leadership Academy. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. The Mary Seacole programme is a six-month NHS leadership programme designed to develop knowledge and skills in leadership and management. Grounded in reality and applied in the workplace, it aims to provide the balance between learning the theory and putting it into practice. The programme empowers participants to turn their success into constant team success and to champion compassionate patient care. The programme is combines with e-learning, which includes virtual campus content, workshop design and online facilitated tutor groups. The NHS Leadership Academy's mission is to develop outstanding leadership in health, in order to improve people's health and their experiences of the NHS. They aim to do this by: * broadening, and where necessary changing, the range of leadership behaviours people in the health system use * professionalising leadership: raising the profile, performance and impact of health system leaders, requiring and supporting them to demonstrate their fit and proper readiness to carry out their leadership role and defining what we expect from them * working in partnership to make leadership in the health system more inclusive and representative of the communities it serves * developing leaders who are more innovative and can create a climate where innovation can flourish HEE believes that the NHS Leadership Academy are the only providers of this NHS Leadership course. The financial envelope for the contract is PS24,875 For the Specification, Contract and the Case for Direct Award please access the portal at: https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family E-Tendering portal. If any provider has concerns with the commissioning intentions outlined within the published documentation, please raise this via the eTendering Portal in the first instance within 30 days of the date of this Prior Information Notice. The closing date of this PIN is 23.59hrs on the 15th November 2021
