Notice Description

Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, Cambridge City Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council (the "Framework Partners") wish to procure a single supplier framework contract to develop, deliver and (optionally) operate energy projects on assets across their estates. The Framework Partners are also interested in extending use of the framework, once let, to other public bodies in England. The Framework Partners energy projects to date and currently in development include: * Energy performance contracting retrofit projects on maintained schools and academies across Cambridgeshire * Energy performance contracting retrofit projects on Council owned buildings * Utility scale solar farm projects on the rural estate * Utility scale solar farm and battery energy storage projects on closed landfill sites * Electric vehicle charging infrastructure * District Heat Network projects * Smart Energy Grid Projects The Framework Partners' ambitions are to develop further energy saving and renewable energy generation projects of this nature under the proposed single supplier framework contract. A market engagement event will be hosted in Cambridge on the afternoon of 25th November 2019. At the event representatives of the Councils will present the proposed procurement and invite questions and feedback from attendees. Organisations that wish to attend the event are requested to confirm their interest in attending to Christopher.parkin@cambridgeshire.gov.uk by Wednesday 20th November. The Framework Partners intend to procure in accordance with the above indicative timescales. However, they make no guarantee that the market engagement will be followed with an Invitation to Tender.
