Notice Description

This notice is to advise the market of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) intention to issue a tender opportunity for a Biochemistry Managed Service. At the time of this notice the Biochemistry Managed Service will cover an automated chemistry and immunoassay service including pre- and post - analytics across four sites (Queen Elizabeth, Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals). The scope of analysis will include, but not limited to, routine chemistry, immunoassay, immunology, serology, therapeutic drug monitoring (including antibiotics). The Trust intends to hold a virtual pre-market engagement day on 21/09/ 2021 and will make a final decision on the most appropriate route to market after this engagement day. However, the Trust's preferred route to market currently is via the "open" procedure. Suppliers who wish to attend the virtual pre-market engagement day will be required to give a small presentation on a series of points the Trust wishes to explore, as outlined in the attached overarching service scope. If you wish to participate please confirm this in writing via the Bravo portal by 12 noon on 14/09/2021 and you will be sent an allocated time slot plus any other relevant information. Please be advised that this notice is not a formal call for competition and participation in this pre-market engagement day is voluntary.
