Summary of the contracting process

The Croydon Council is currently inviting tenders for a project titled "Direct intervention for children and families in crisis," focusing on health and social work services. This procurement process is at the tender stage, with submissions due by 6th March 2020. The estimated contract value is £90,000 and it aims to address the needs of a growing population in Croydon, which includes approximately 94,702 children under the age of 18. Services will be delivered in London, United Kingdom, with the contract period set to begin on 31st March 2020 and conclude by 31st January 2021. The procurement method is an open procedure, allowing for a wide range of bidders to participate.

This opportunity is particularly advantageous for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in social and community services. Companies offering innovative solutions in children's services or those experienced in working with families facing crises would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. Engaging with Croydon Council on this tender can not only contribute to the community's welfare but also bolster the contractor's portfolio and reputation in the public sector.

Notice Title

Direct intervention for children and families in crisis

Notice Description

The Council invites quotations for the provision of children intervention. Croydon's approximate population is 385,000 and the higher birth rate in the past decade has resulted in an increase in the number of younger children requiring services in the Borough. The population of under 18 year olds is currently 94,702. Croydon also faces challenges around deprivation and inequalities, and is in the bottom third of 'most deprived authorities' across England. Croydon's population continues to grow steadily, making it a necessity that there are robust, community-led support networks in place to ensure that Croydon's growth is sustainable and everyone in the community feels the benefit.
