The Befriending & Buddy Scheme aims to prevent and reduce social isolation, feelings of loneliness and social exclusion in West Berkshire through the provision of a service that will provide social and emotional support from a volunteer befriender or buddy for all adults over 55 at risk of being or becoming socially isolated. The maximum budget available for this service is PS24,000 per annum. The contract start date is 1st May 2020 - 31st March 2023 with provision for extension until 31st March 2025.
