Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is initiating a market engagement event for the procurement of APMS services at three locations in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, specifically the St Neots Health Centre, Willow Tree Surgery, and Botolph Bridge Community Health Centre. This event is part of the planning stage and is scheduled to gather feedback from potential providers by the deadline of 5:00 PM on 4th August 2020. The contracts for these services are set to commence on 1st April 2021, with the tentative publication of the formal tender opportunity expected in late September 2020.

This engagement presents significant opportunities for businesses interested in participating in healthcare service provision in the East of England, particularly those capable of delivering general-practitioner services. Smaller enterprises (SMEs) may find this tender especially suited to their abilities, as the market engagement process aims to inform service configuration based on provider feedback. Engaging in this preliminary phase enables businesses to shape future contracts and positions them favourably for subsequent competitive tendering processes.
