Notice Description

The Council is seeking a supplier to deliver a specialist advice service for asylum seekers and refugees in Cambridge. The service will provide effective information, support and advice. It will help to tackle economic and social marginalisation, assist with immigration status and help people to find accommodation. The Council commissioned a survey in the City to establish how many asylum seekers and refugees are in the city that fall outside the home office schemes and who are in need of the service described below. The survey indicated the need for a service that provides the following:- * Asylum Support information being made available * Help with access to the benefits system for people with entitlements * Improved awareness of health servies available * Information about the job market and volunteering opportunities * Providing specialist immigation and asylum seeking advice * Assist with making applications to the home office on behalf of clients applying for various visas/stays.
