Health Education England are putting out this notice as a VEAT (Voluntary Ex ante Transparency Notice) a view to completing a Direct Award to British Institute of Human Rights The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is seeking a provider to develop and deliver bespoke human rights training for social workers and professionals preparing to be or practicing as AMHPs (Approved Mental Health Practitioner.) British Institute of Human Rights has long-standing expertise of Human Rights Law to undertake these changes with equity. The Provider will enhance their current offer with case studies reflecting protected groups and ethical codes relating to Social Work. In addition, they have the experience and knowledge to impact assess the outcomes of the training and relay recommendations on areas where additional training may be required to ensure high level of legal competency in practice. British Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) have extensive experience of applied learning about the human right framework in the NHS and they draw on service user input with experience of human rights practice. Social Work expertise will be available through linking the project to the wider HEE trauma informed practice project underway in regions. https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal.
