Notice Description

Universities are rising to the challenge of commercialisation inventions, research, innovations, discovery and intellectual property. This is done through a variety of methods and funding sources which are made available to Universities. One of which is the Northern Accelerator brand. PulmoBiomed Technology Breath analysis opens up a new non-invasive source of diagnostic data. Solving the challenges of creating a diagnostic platform based on breath will generate a raft of patient-centred solutions, products and commercial opportunities. The initial brief of the executive will be to: (1) Produce a viable business plan; (2) Obtain university approval for the venture; (3a) Act for the company in the spin-out legal process and address all company formation matters; (3b) Obtain founder academics' and Northumbria University (including the Director of Research and Innovation) approval for appointment as CEO. (3c) Provide to the appropriate university all matters necessary for ERDF / Research England reporting requirements; (4) Secure (venture capital and / or other) funding in accordance with the business plan.
