Summary of the contracting process

Cheshire East Borough Council is planning a tender for the "19 147 - Environmental Enforcement Service" aimed at gauging interest from potential service providers in delivering this environmental enforcement service. Located in the North West of the United Kingdom, the council will conclude its engagement period on 21 February 2020. This initiative is part of their broader enforcement strategy, which focuses on the principles of engagement, education, and enforcement, to foster sustainable behaviour changes. Further insights can be provided via a questionnaire available on The Chest E-Tendering Portal, with one-on-one supplier meetings anticipated thereafter.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary/community social enterprises (VCSEs), looking to expand their services within environmental sectors. Providers equipped with expertise in environmental management and community engagement will find this an advantageous platform to showcase their capabilities. While participation in the soft market testing does not guarantee a subsequent tender, it allows businesses to influence future procurement strategies by sharing insights and solutions with the council.
