Portal Contract Reference: Internal Contract Reference: HAC5436 Contract Title: HAC5436 - Chicksand East Landscape & Activity Improvements Expressions of interest start date: 1st May 2020 Return of tenders/bids end date: 1st June 2020 Initial Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Extensions: 0 Estimated Contract Value (including extensions): PS300,000:00 Description: Chicksand East is one of the schemes in the pocket parks programme that aims to deliver a package of Improvements to existing small green spaces. This project aims to transform the underused green space between Kingwood and Bloomfield House on the Chicksand East Estate into a welcoming, safe open space for children and adults, including, seating, quiet spaces, natural planting areas and community growing garden that will encourage residents to use, care and value their green space. Tower Hamlets Homes land, Located near Kingwood and Bloomfield House on the Chicksand East Estate. The project intends to deliver the following but is not limited to: * Improve disused, undeveloped open space * Open and increase green space on land owned by partners * Provide local pocket parks with growing spaces * Mixed use family outdoor space * Promote healthy lifestyle through innovative app, which will also capture data to help improve the health of the borough and sign post residents to pocket parks and green spaces with urban gyms * Promote exercise through implementation of outdoor gyms * Reduce noise pollution on busy A road and create a new pocket park with planting and a green wall * Involve and engage local residents and local community organisations. Additional Information: The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) is seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations for the above services and / or goods. Organisations wishing to express their interest are requested to register on the London Tenders Portal (www.londontenders.org) where the opportunity documentation will be available for download. You will be required to complete an online questionnaire. Organisations must ensure that access to the system is available to their representatives dealing with the contract and that this contact is updated as and when required. The council will not be liable for the lack of delegated access within the organisation and will not send any documentation regarding the opportunity, which shall be exclusively available through the portal.
