HEE invites proposals from proven nursing leadership development providers to provide leadership training for learning disability nurses within this financial year. Included:- * Learning disability nurses working within NHS or NHS commissioned services * Learning disability nurses seeking promotion and career development * Learning disability nursing final year students and those on preceptorships Excluded:- * Anyone without a learning disability nurse registration or on a programme to registration * Learning disability nurses intending to leave the register SPECIFICATION: Aims: To test the feasibility of utilising experiential leadership for leadership training as a means of: 1. Improving retention within the field of nursing 2. Improving leadership skills Objectives: * Provide an experiential leadership course for a cohort of 20 Nurses, with option to extend a further two addition cohorts based on demonstrated demand * Recruit and select suitable applicants * Include learning elements: o Awareness of self o Improvement methods o Personal presence o Creative thinking * Programme to be delivered over 3 month duration * Be willing to work in collaboration with evaluation partners
