Summary of the contracting process

Gravesham Borough Council is conducting a tender process for "Merchant Acquiring Services" aimed at reviewing its existing merchant acquiring arrangements. The contract is set to commence on 1st April 2019 for an initial duration of three years, with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years. The procurement stage is currently active, with a deadline for tender submissions on 5th November 2018. The total value of the contract is £200,000, and it falls under the financial and insurance services category. The delivery of services will be primarily in the South East region of the United Kingdom.

This tender represents significant opportunities for service providers specialising in financial services, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Businesses capable of implementing innovative market practices and enhancing service delivery standards will be particularly well-suited to compete. Interested firms should prepare comprehensive proposals that address the specific requirements outlined by Gravesham Borough Council to increase their chances of success in this procurement process.

Notice Title

Merchant Acquiring Services

Notice Description

Gravesham Borough Council is undertaking a review of its current merchant acquiring arrangements and through this Invitation to Tender ("ITT") is inviting potential service providers to tender for a new contract to commence from April 1st, 2019 for an initial period of 3 years with the option to renew for a further 2 years on a 1 + 1 year basis. Annual renewals will be at the discretion of the Council once the initial contract period has expired. The Council may decide, however, not to renew the contract after the initial period, and to retender for the services required. Clearly, the priority is the successful delivery of the Services described in this ITT. The Council considers, however, that the implementation of new services provides an excellent opportunity to introduce change, and particularly the introduction of best market practices is seen as a key component of the tender. Tenderers are encouraged, therefore, to consider this requirement in formulating their response.
