Notice Description

Watford Borough Council is seeking a Contractor to demolish and clear its Paddock Road Depot property. A brief summary of the works for the Contractor is: -Preliminary surveys and investigations -Preparation of RAMS with ecologist supervision for GCN -Asbestos removal from the buildings -Demolition of existing building within the site boundary with concrete floor slab to be left in-situ. -Retention of existing hardstanding, foundations and tarmac to ensure no disturbance of ground conditions -Waste Segregation -Water tank, external toilet and associated apparatus removal -Existing carriageway resurfaced -Provision and installation of palisade fencing -Marking out and re-routing of existing services to site boundary -Site expected to be left clean and tidy with issuing health and safety file upon completion -Provision of all appropriate Site Management, labour resource and plant and Equipment for the Demolition. Tenders will be invited following an expression of interest for the minor works with contractors design regarding the asbestos removal, demolition and site clearance of Paddock Road Depot, including all works necessary to prepare the site. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Please complete and return the EOI form for inclusion in the selection process for the tender.
