PLEASE APPLY VIA THE KENT BUSINESS PORTAL & REGISTER HERE FOR FURTHER DETAILS: https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=10038656-bef9-ea11-8105-005056b64545&p=8691483f-2f3d-e711-80e1-005056b64545 Medway currently faces a significant spend on placements for children in care and this includes parent and child placements for a cohort of women who repeatedly lose their children into care. This is an issue that locally Medway has been struggling with for many years as the demand continuous to slowly increase not only for financial pressures, but due to the poor outcomes for mother and baby when the child is removed. A proposal to form a multi-agency targeted intervention to address repeat removals using core Public Health services alongside social care and other key agencies has been agreed and the planning for this service and the interventions that would be most effective are being considered. The intervention aims to improve outcomes for this cohort of women and deliver wider savings to the system as a whole in the long term.
