Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has recently awarded a contract for the DWP Fit Out, Refurbishment, Minor Works, Capex Projects and Life Cycle Works Taxi Rank 2023 project. Notice Description

DWP annual demand is for Life Cycle Work (LCW), small projects, Minor works typically under PS300K, with a mix of higher value LCW Asset replacement works over PS300k - 3m and lease events driven CAPEX works. The DWP uses two Pipelines - LCW Projects and Capex Projects. The DWP typical spend over PS50m on LCW works and over PS40m on Capex Projects. In addition DWP has commenced a strategic Estates Work Place Transformation Programme to deliver estates changes. Via our future commercial arrangements, we would like to work with successful Contractors through early engagement discussions to develop options on the efficient and effective way to undertake the Pipeline / Programme requirements. We aim to share the Pipeline with Contractors as this will be critical so that with enduring demand, we can share the quantum of work. The DWP has procured its Construction Services by Region and Lot Values by way of a call off from CCS Framework RM 6088 Lots 1.1.1 to Lot 1.1.4 and Lot 2.1 to 2.4. The DWP Regions are as follows: England North England South Scotland Wales The DWP Contract values for each Lots, attributable to all regions are: Lot A Contract Value is PS3m Lot B Contract Value is PS3m Lot C Contract Value is PS10m DWP has called off 5 consecutive contracts in accordance with the Lot values for each supplier for the construction services over the lifetime of the contract.
