Notice Title

CQRS Futures

Notice Description

The Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS) is a national IM&T service that provides reports to GP practices and commissioning organisations on achievement of quality outcomes. The system calculates achievement and payments to service providers (such as GPs) for their delivery of national quality outcomes. The contract for CQRS was signed with Vangent Inc. (bought out by General Dynamic Information Technology (GDIT)) to deliver the service December 2011; with go live of the service achieved June 2013 and an end date of May 2018. The service is business critical to NHS England as it is one of the principle payment mechanisms that support the GP contract (approximately PS1.5bn out of the total GP contract value of PS8bn). This includes QOF and enhanced services and the majority of national vaccination programme. The contract has been awarded for a supplier to lead and develop an options appraisal that considers the requirements for a new service and the options available.
