HCPC Return to Practice
Notice Description
HEE commissioned 2 suppliers, to deliver an innovative and flexible On-Line RtP Programme to support HEE Health & Care Professions Council returners to meet the minimum requirements of the HCPC RtP standards. Coventry University were one of the successful bidders. As part of the initial commission, Coventry was required to recruit and support 50 returners to meet the minimum criteria to return to the HCPC register. They have now reached this threshold and are seeking additional funding to support future returners. Coventry has 15 returners now placed on hold with further enquires in the system therefore unable to recruit any further HEE returners to the programme. Future returners will need to self-fund at PS1,500 for two modules. They anticipate being able to support an additional 50 HEE returners. Deliverables The specific deliverables of the award are as follows. * A further 50 AHP Returners to the NHS Rationale for selection of supplier HEE considers that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the expertise provided by Coventry University as a current supplier for the following reasons: * Coventry University have a committed high-quality programme for Return to Practice established * Coventry University has a track record of constructive engagement with activities to develop Allied Health Professionals as returners to the NHS and constructive engagement with public bodies including NHS England, Public Health England and HEE. * Coventry University have experienced clinicians in developing and delivering the curricula to ensure relevance to current practice, incorporates problem based learning and up-to-date evidence-based teaching methods.
