Summary of the contracting process

The West Midlands Combined Authority is conducting a tender process for the "Regional Construction Skills Framework," aimed at establishing a £7.5 million training framework to provide employment and training services over the next four years, starting from 1st January 2019. This initiative is designed to support unemployed and socially disadvantaged individuals in the West Midlands in securing employment within the construction industry. The tender period concludes on 4th December 2018, and the procurement method is an open procedure, which allows for a broad range of bidders to participate.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in educational and training services, particularly those focused on construction skills and social inclusion. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE) are particularly encouraged to apply, as the buying organisation seeks to engage with suppliers that can deliver innovative solutions to enhance the employability of local residents. Businesses that align with the objectives of the Construction Skills Job Access Programme and can participate in mini-competitions within this framework will find this a viable opportunity for growth and partnership.
