Contract Summary
The ECP/AP merger has very little information from the key customer group (independent garages) on which to base its competitive assessment, which is fundamental to the determination of the case. The assessment needs to be carried out at a local geographical level, and conducting research with garages in particular local areas which are customers of the merger parties is likely to be the most effective way of determining closeness of competition and the extent that other suppliers of car parts impose a constraint.
