Notice Title

Contract 188 - Delivery of Support at Home, Assistive Technology and Mobile Response Service

Notice Description

A core part of this aspiration is investment in technology-based solutions that support independent living for people with additional needs in their own homes and in Managed Accommodation developments for older people in Wigan Borough. We believe that advances in smart technology and in the internet of things means that people can have additional support embedded in their homes and the objects around them that makes everyday life easier. By using this technology, we are aiming to improve self-reliance and support people to maintain and rediscover the life skills they used to have. We are also aiming to reduce the incidence of unnecessary hospital admissions and the burden on other emergency services including the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police, and ensure that family and carers are reassured about the wellbeing of their loved ones.
