Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process solicited by UK Shared Business Services Limited involves the tender titled "International SME Trade Data Procurement," which aims to gather data on UK SMEs engaged in international trade. This initiative is particularly relevant in the research and development consultancy services sector, focusing on addressing existing gaps in government trade statistics related to the services market. The tender period closed on 5th March 2020 at 11:00 hours, with contracts anticipated to commence on 10th March 2020 and run for one year. This is an open procurement method, initiated below the threshold for regulations.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses specialising in market research and consultancy services, as it seeks to compile comprehensive data that supports UK international trade policy. Companies able to provide detailed analysis on regional and sectoral SME trade would be well-suited to participate, enhancing their portfolio while contributing to a critical initiative for the UK government aimed at promoting growth among SMEs. With extensive use of the Delta eSourcing Portal required for submissions, organisations familiar with digital procurement processes would have a competitive advantage.
