Summary of the contracting process

The British Library intends to establish a multi-supplier framework through the procurement titled "001146 NETCAT & Associated Services Framework," which focuses on data conversion services. This active tender is currently at the planning stage, with the submission deadline set for 7th June 2019. The contract period will commence on 1st July 2019 and run until 30th June 2023. Interested suppliers can deliver services to various locations, including the United Kingdom and British Overseas Territories, and are required to provide a scalable pricing structure based on the anticipated processing of approximately 10,000 catalogue records annually.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the data services industry, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in data conversion and library services. Firms that can offer competitive pricing for bulk record processing and have the capacity to manage diverse work-packages may find this framework arrangement particularly advantageous. The open procurement method allows a broad range of suppliers to compete, making it an ideal opportunity for companies aiming to expand their footprint in public sector contracts.
