UK Central Equine Database

Notice Description

To procure a service to develop, deliver and operate a new central equine database for the UK, which holds statutory data on all horse passports issued by UK Passport Issuing Organisations(PIOs) and horses imported to the UK. The database is a requirement of EU Commission Regulation 2015/262 on equine identification which, amongst other things, requires each Member State to operate and maintain a central equine database from July 2016 Additional information: Please note that Defra procurement uses e-tendering, provided by Bravosolutions. In order to access the Bravo system you will need to be registered. Could I therefore request that you register on the Bravo portal for Defra. If you're already registered on the Bravo portal please check that your registration includes Defra, as you have to specify us in order to correctly receive the tender documents.
