Summary of the contracting process

The Public Health England (PHE) is currently planning a procurement process for the annual servicing and maintenance of its StarLims system, titled "Provisions for Agency Wide Maintenance of a StarLims System." This opportunity falls under the software package and information systems industry category. The engagement phase is set to conclude on 23rd February 2018, with the tender documentation published on 14th March 2017. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses with expertise in software maintenance, particularly those that specialise in StarLims systems and have qualified engineers. While the contract is likely to be awarded to StarLims Europe, any firms that believe they can fulfil the requirements are encouraged to engage with PHE. This includes companies with strong service capabilities in IT systems management and those that can demonstrate relevant experience in servicing similar technical solutions, thus opening pathways for potential growth and collaboration within the publicly funded sector.
