Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Ealing is initiating a procurement process for Domiciliary Care Services targeting children and young people aged 0-25. This procurement falls under the health and social work services category and is currently in the planning stage. The council is looking to retender the provision of these services with a significant budget of £980,000 for the contract period starting 1st November 2016 and ending 1st November 2019. A provider forum was conducted on 21st July 2016 to engage potential providers, and a final consultation will take place on 8th August 2016 to refine the service specifications.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sectors, particularly those that provide domiciliary care and related services for children and young adults with additional needs and disabilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) may find this tender especially suitable, as Ealing Council aims to collaborate with a diverse range of providers that can deliver both basic and complex care solutions. Engaging in this procurement could help businesses expand their service offerings and establish long-term contracts with local authorities.
