Summary of the contracting process

Derby City Council is currently in the planning stage of the procurement process for the "Commissioning 4 Change Engagement Events" scheduled for March 2019. This initiative falls within the health and social work services industry category and targets providers of services for adults receiving social care in Derby. Key dates include engagement events on the 20th (morning and afternoon), 26th, and 27th of March. Interested parties should note that the engagement end date is set for 15 March 2019, and the location for the events is within the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to engage with Derby City Council as it transforms its commissioning approach. Businesses specialising in home care, supported accommodation, care homes, and day opportunities for adults – particularly those over 18 – would be well-positioned to compete and potentially secure contracts following these engagement events.
