Notice Description

The Department seeks external resource to provide extra resilience and specialist external technical expertise for advice and assistance (alongside DfT LA and GLD litigation teams and policy officials) for ongoing work regarding international rail maintenance depots to enable the growth of international rail services. The Department is seeing sustained interest from potential new entrants to the international high-speed passenger market with access to international rail depots being identified as one of the key barriers to new entrants. This area is increasingly becoming a high ministerial priority with a multitude of areas we need to research, and having external expertise will help with the internal resource pressure and will provide specialist advice to ensure Ministers are well-informed.
