Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the Bournemouth and Poole General Advice Service, initiated by Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole, is currently in the planning stage. The expected contract duration is from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2022, with an annual budget of £119,000. The tender documents are anticipated to be published by the end of October 2017, and a market engagement event is scheduled for 19 September 2017 at the Borough of Poole's Civic Centre, providing an opportunity for prospective suppliers to discuss project requirements and funding arrangements.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in advisory services, particularly those focused on community support and welfare. Companies that provide free, impartial advice in areas such as debt management, welfare benefits, housing, and immigration are especially well-suited to compete for this contract. Engaging in this tender process could help broaden their client base and enhance service delivery in the Bournemouth and Poole region.
