NHS Southwark CCG - Primary Medical Care Services in Care Homes in Southwark
Notice Description
****UPDATED**** NHS Southwark CCG would like to invite providers and partners to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of their intentions to procure Extended Primary Medical Care Services in Care Homes. NHS Southwark CCG's current Extended Primary Care Services in Care Homes contract which provides a medical model to nursing homes is due to expire in May 2018, and as part of this re-procurement, the CCG will also be seeking to understand how we might use the experience we have gained from having these services in place to extend the service offer more widely. Specifically, to deliver care to residents in homes with Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration, to improve the quality of their medical care and address issues which can result in unplanned admission to hospital. The aim of the procurement is to: * provide high quality care for residents of care homes with nursing beds through high quality care services supported by a multi-disciplinary team approach, * to provide a proactive clinical leadership to support services both provided by and provided to the home; * to review the needs of residents of CQC registered homes and the model of service provision required within identified resources. It is intended that a procurement process will commence in January 2018 with a view for the services to commence in May 2018. The Market Engagement Event will take place on: Thursday 21st December from 9:00am - 11.00am at: NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group 160 Tooley Street London SE1 2QH This is a free event hosted by NHS Southwark CCG and open to all potential service providers and partners. Market Engagement Event will provide: * an overview of the services to be provided * details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions * an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline To confirm your interest to participate at this engagement event, please submit details of your intended attendees (max of 2) to n.polyblank@nhs.net by 4pm on Monday 18th December 2017 Additional information: You can express an interest in this market engagement event by sending an e-mail to Natalie Polyblank at: n.polyblank@nhs.net The deadline for submitting a response for this event is on the 4pm on Monday 18th December 2017. If you would like to receive an invitation to this event please include the following information in your email: * Confirmation of how many people will attend representing your organisation (include name/job title) Please note that this is a market engagement event to inform the CCGs' decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process. Potential providers who have expressed an interest in this event will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the CCG decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement. Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future.
