Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Justice has initiated the Crossover Post-custody Youth Resettlement Programme, a tender aimed at providing support for children leaving custody to improve their resettlement outcomes such as access to accommodation, education, training, and employment. This project is classified under education and training services, with a total funding of £2.3 million designated for voluntary and community sector organisations to employ resettlement linkworkers. This tender is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 25th July 2022. The services will be delivered across the United Kingdom and beyond, including British Overseas Territories, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialising in support services for youths, particularly those in the voluntary and community sectors. Companies that can provide personalised, intensive support for children reintegrating into the community would be particularly well-suited to compete for this tender. By collaborating with statutory practitioners and leveraging best practices, these organisations can not only contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable youths but also drive their own business growth through increased funding and strategic partnerships.
