Notice Description

This is a Contract Award Notice to communicate a contract award made by the Authority, Basildon and Brentwood Alliance on behalf of NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, (hereinafter referred to as "the Authority") in compliance with their local standing financial instructions (SFIs). This Contract Award is made by the Authority to the 35 General Practitioner (GP) providers within the Basildon and Brentwood geographical footprint for the provision of Locally Enhanced Services (LES). The provision of Locally Enhanced Services to include: - 24 Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring - Gonadorelin Analogue Injections - Minor Injury Services - Phlebotomy - Secondary & Community Care Wound Management Services - Non Scalpel Vasectomy Service (NSV) - 24 Hour Electrocardiogram - Shared Care - Anticoagulation (Warfarin) And from 1st October 2023 onwards. - DMARDs - 12 Lead Electrocardiogram The Authority has taken the decision to award this Locally Enhanced Service (which was previously commissioned for NHS Basildon and Brentwood CCG) to the 35 incumbent General Practitioner (GP) providers. As of July 2022, the Integrated Care Board (ICB) superseded the previous 5 CCGs within Mid and South Essex. NHS Mid and South Essex ICB is currently undergoing an organisational restructure and have taken the decision to extend the current contract to the incumbent providers for 12 months whilst commissioning decisions and strategies can be made for the future of this service. The Authority considers these 35 GP providers for this LES as technically capable of providing the most economically advantageous solution to the Authority whilst the ICB undergoes restructure, review and alignment of contracts. The Authority is applying the NHS Standard Contract Terms and Conditions to ensure appropriate clinical governance and service delivery quality as well as consistency of service to patients. The contract will be for 12 months, from 01st April 2023 - 31st March 2024. The aggregate contract value across the 35 General Practitioners service providers is forecasted at PS283,263.00 The Authority is publishing this Contract Award Notice in the Contracts Finder in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended by The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020) for spend above PS30,000.
