Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Haringey is initiating a procurement process for the "Young People's Supported Housing Pathway," which falls under the health and social work services category. This procurement is currently in the planning stage and is scheduled to include a market engagement event on 30th July 2018, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Council Chambers in Civic Centre, High Road, London, N22 8LE. Interested parties must express their interest by 26th July 2018 in order to participate in the engagement. The procurement process is anticipated to commence in early August 2018.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specializing in supported housing and social services, particularly those with experience in providing accommodation for young people or vulnerable groups. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-suited to compete, as the new pathway is designed to offer a range of accommodation settings and support services tailored to the needs of Haringey's care leavers and young homeless individuals. Providers that focus on trauma-informed care and independent living skills development will find this opportunity particularly relevant as the aim is to equip young people with the tools needed to transition successfully into adulthood.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S SUPPORTED HOUSING PATHWAY

Notice Description

THE YOUNG PEOPLE'S SUPPORTED HOUSING PATHWAY MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT Date: 30th July 2018, 10:00am to 1:00pm Venue: The Council Chambers, Civic Centre, High Road, London, N22 8LE (Please use postcode N22 8ZW if you are using SatNav) http://www.haringey.gov.uk/haringey_council_offices_wood_green.pdf A market engagement event is being organised to inform Service Providers of the forthcoming procurement opportunity for provision of the Young People's Supported Housing Pathway in Haringey. The Council currently commissions supported housing for young people in a combination of high support 24-hour staffed, accommodation based settings and low support needs visiting support in dispersed properties around the borough. The pathway has been re-designed and will be re-commissioned to better suit the needs of Haringey's Care Leaver and young homeless cohort. The aim of the new pathway is to offer young people a greater range of accommodation settings and support levels, including 24-hour, visiting and floating support services. Pathway services will facilitate the development of independent living skills, confidence and resilience to prevent future homelessness, protect against exploitation, and divert away from criminality and gang involvement. The services commissioned will formulate a coherent pathway in which trauma-informed support is tapered over a typical 2-year period to facilitate the transition to adulthood and independence. Movement through the pathway will be focused on building and strengthening confidence, resilience, skills and wellbeing outcomes. The market engagement event will clarify the service to be commissioned and give providers the opportunity to indicate their interest in delivering aspects of this pathway. It is anticipated that the procurement process for this service will commence in early August 2018. This Market Engagement Event is being managed on the Haringey Procurement and Contract System (HPCS), http://redirect.transaxions.com/events/mFdSn Please express your interest on the portal by Thursday 26th July 2018.
