Summary of the contracting process

The City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) is initiating a procurement process for the CWC24128 Alternative Provision Open Framework for Children & Young People. This initiative is designed to provide alternative educational provisions for children who require additional support, such as those excluded from mainstream education or at risk of disengagement. The procurement process is in the planning stage, with market engagement events scheduled for 6th and 8th November 2024. The framework focuses on education and training services and aims to deliver best value while promoting student engagement and inclusion. Interested providers are encouraged to confirm their attendance by 5pm on 4th November 2024. The current framework expires on 31 August 2025, and the newly commissioned services will aim to offer a wide range of options to local providers in Wolverhampton and beyond.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in educational services, particularly those that can offer innovative solutions for alternative educational provision. SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to participate, as the council seeks diverse and effective service providers to meet its statutory obligations. The market engagement events will be crucial for potential providers to understand the service model, cost structures, and placement competition processes. By participating in the engagement process, businesses can align their offerings with the council's priorities, fostering potential long-term partnerships and contributing to their growth in the education sector.
