The ISIS Synchrotron at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is undertaking a refurbishment program to replace the coils in the Q3 quadrupole magnets. The Q3 magnets are normal conducting D.C quadrupole magnets with a solid yoke construction that provide a symmetrical field about the beam centre-line. Each Q3 consists of 4 coils which each contain a single feed and return line. The scope of the contract is to manufacture, test and supply the replacement coils for the upgrade of the Q3 magnets at ISIS. Please note: This tender will close on Monday 31 July 2017 at 14.00 BST. From the 2nd April 2014 the Government is introducing its new Government Security Classifications (GSC) classification scheme to replace the current Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS). A key aspect of this is the reduction in the number of security classifications used. All potential suppliers should make themselves aware of the changes as it may impact on this Requirement. To participate in this procurement, participants shall first be registered on the e-Sourcing Suite. If Bidders have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/emptoris by following the link 'Supplier eSourcing Registration'. Please note that, to register, Bidders must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so. Note: registration may take some time please ensure that you allow a sufficient amount of time to register.
