Notice Description

East Suffolk Council (ESC) is working in partnership with Historic England to deliver a PSiCA (Partnership Scheme in a Conservation Area) in the Historic Quarter of Lowestoft. This scheme builds on the recently completed North Lowestoft Heritage Action Zone (NLHAZ), delivered in partnership with Lowestoft Town Council, East Suffolk Building Preservation Trust and Lowestoft Vision. The Historic Quarter, Lowestoft PSiCA launched in April 2023 and will end in March 2026. East Suffolk Council is looking to buy in the services of a conservation accredited architect to help support the scheme on an "as and when required basis" throughout the life of the 3-year grant scheme. The PSiCA will provide funding for the repair and restoration of historic buildings on the High Street of North Lowestoft, with a particular focus on frontages and reinstating original shopfront features.
