Third Party Administrator to manage claims, on behalf of Rutherford Indemnity Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA)
Notice Description
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and its captive insurer, Rutherford Indemnity Limited (RIL), are looking to procure third party administration services for the management and handling of third party property and liability claims resulting from a significant incident. NDA is responsible for the decommissioning and cleaning up of nuclear facilities and own 17 sites across England, Scotland and Wales plus the associated liabilities and assets. NDA is a non-departmental public body created under the Energy Act 2004 establishing the overall strategy, allocation of budgets, setting targets and monitoring progress. On-site activities are carried out by a workforce of approximately 16,000 who are employed by NDA Subsidiaries and private sector Site Licence companies. To ensure that NDA and RIL are prepared to operationally respond to 'off-site' and transportation liability claims events, an independent provider of third party administration and claims management services is required. NDA and RIL would like to invite organisations to attend an online discussion regarding the most appropriate way to provide third party administration services in the event of a major incident occurring. The session will take place online (Microsoft Teams ) on Wednesday 13th of January between 2 and 4pm The deadline to confirm participation is the 9th January 2021 16:00 via Procurement.inbox@nda.gov.uk We will acknowledge receipt of your interest and send further information of the discussion agenda
