Notice Title

Group Activities - for Children & Young People with Sensory Loss

Notice Description

Children's Trust Vision All children, young people and their families in Cornwall are safe and have good opportunities to achieve and improve themselves. The Council closes the gap between those who are doing well and those doing less well by effective work with those with greater need. Disabled Children and Therapy Service Vision Some of the most vulnerable disabled children and young people in Cornwall are those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities. These children will be safeguarded and supported to achieve a better life for themselves and a brighter future. All disabled children and young people with disabilities are children first and have the same rights as others in their peer group to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, have access to economic well-being and able to make a positive contribution to their communities. The overarching aim of Cornwall Council is to promote and safeguard the welfare of disabled children and young people, and to work in co-production with them and their parents / carers to design and deliver quality services for disabled children and young people. As part of a broader statutory responsibility in respect of short breaks, the Council wishes to re-commission services for children and young people with sensory loss and complex needs.
