Digital Keysafe/Lockbox Preliminary Market Engagement
Notice Description
The Councils' (Westminster City Council and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea) are considering purchasing a 24/7 digitalised key safe/lockbox [KLB] solution to provide a new enhanced key safe provision for service users and carers living independently at home. The provision of a new digitalised KLB will play a significant role in safeguarding vulnerable adults. This kind of Assistive Technology (AT) can reduce the risks associated with living at home, prevent people needing more intrusive services and can provide reassurance and support to families and carers. The Councils wish to undertake a preliminary market consultation exercise to ascertain expressions of interest from potential providers, with a view to gaining their input and expertise into the service design, procurement process and contracting model to help shape the project to achieve its greatest potential. Although this EOI refers to a KLB, the Councils would be open to considering other digital solutions providing that it meets the issues outlined.
