Notice Title

Early market notification- West Herts Medical Centre, Hemel Hempstead

Notice Description

This is an early market notification to advise that the current APMS contract for West Herts Medical Centre expires on 31 October 2018. The patient consultation and engagement process was launched at the end of January to enable Herts Valleys CCG to consult on the two contractual options regarding the future of the West Herts Medical Centre: closing the centre or a full commercial re-procurement. The consultation is aligned with the consultation on the co-located Urgent Treatment Centre at Hemel Hempstead Hospital. The CCG will make the final decision regarding the favoured contractual option for the West Herts Medical Centre by the end of April 2018. Should the decision be made to re-procure the services, this opportunity will be open to the entire market, including the current provider and would be published in May 2018. As this tender is for existing services, should the services be re-procured then they must be fully operational by the service commencement date of the 1st November 2018 in order to ensure continuity of care for patients.
