Summary of the contracting process

The Contracting Authority, CTM Portal for the NDA Shared Services Alliance, has initiated a tender for the purchase of two Isothermal Conduction Calorimeters (ICC) essential for cement hydration. This procurement falls under the goods category, with the tender period closing at 5pm on 20th July 2022. The calorimeters must conform to the BS-EN-196-11: 2018 standards and have a minimum of four channels. Additionally, suppliers are required to handle the disposal of an existing calorimeter located at a nuclear facility, with installations expected to occur shortly after the contract period, which runs from 21st to 22nd July 2022. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in scientific equipment, particularly those with experience in providing equipment tailored for nuclear facilities. Suppliers who can offer comprehensive services, including installation and data analysis software, will be well-positioned to compete. Given the complexity of the specifications, SMEs proficient in this industry niche should consider expressing their interest, as their agility and tailored approaches may be advantageous in meeting the unique requirements outlined in this procurement.
