Summary of the contracting process

South Gloucestershire Council is initiating the procurement for the "South Gloucestershire Council UASC Care Leaver Supported Housing Service," focused on providing housing-related support services to young people aged 18-25 who are unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) and care leavers seeking asylum. The procurement falls under the "Social work and related services" category (CPV 85300000) and is based in England, United Kingdom. The tender is currently in the active stage, with an open procurement method, and the deadline for tender submissions is 20 November 2024. The contract period will commence on 1 January 2025 and conclude on 31 December 2025, with a contract value estimated at £95,000 and the opportunity for service expansion during the contract term.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses providing social support and housing management services. Companies with expertise in managing tenancies, especially those capable of offering flexible support to vulnerable young adults, including SMEs and VCSEs, are particularly well-suited to compete. Businesses can leverage this opportunity to grow by enhancing their portfolio in social work services and establishing a partnership with a reputable council. The selected provider will oversee the accommodation provided by private landlords and deliver crucial support to aid these young individuals in their transition.
