Notice Description

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is commissioning a contractor or contractors with relevant expertise to work with the independent Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission, to design and run an international competition to select an outline design for a Grenfell memorial. The memorial will commemorate the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire which took place on 14th June 2017. The independent Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission was established in 2019. It is made up of representatives of the bereaved, survivors and local residents, who working with the community to decide the most fitting and appropriate way to remember those who lost their lives in the Grenfell tragedy. They published their first report in May 2022 and the next report is due to be published in 2023. The design brief must reflect the vision determined by the community and reflected in the Memorial Commission's reports. Please see attached documents for further information.
