**Please do not respond directly to the Buyer. Bids should be submitted through the CCS E-Sourcing Suite. Please note the deadline for Bids is Thursday 30th November 2017 at 11:00.** Construction has begun on the RRS Sir David Attenborough (SDA) - one of the most advanced polar research vessels in the world. From 2018 scientists researching oceans, ice and the atmosphere will have access to state-of-the-art facilities on this floating laboratory. The SDA will support seismic surveys thus NERC/BAS wish to purchase a digital hydrophone seismic streamer system. Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement. All attachments can be found with the RFx attachments tab within the Emptoris System. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the RFP document. How to Apply As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS will be using the CCS eSourcing Suite for this procurement. To register on the CCS eSourcing portal please follow the details contained within the Additional Information section of this notice. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so. Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing expressionofinterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk.
