22_11_07 NHSE: API Development Pharmacy Contraception Service

Notice Description

NHSBSA a Special Health Authority Department of Health and Social Care. NHSBSA receives details relating to NHS Advanced and Essential Services outlined in Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) and the Drug Tariff via its Manage Your Service (MYS) portal to reimburse Community Pharmacy Contractors in England. The requirement is for suppliers providing software to pharmacies, to provide data feeds to NHSBSA via APIs from their software. Suppliers are required to sign-up to facilitate delivery of the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service for those pharmacies that wish to use it. Facilitation will enable the transmission of data from the software to the MYS portal via the Service API and enable receipt into the software of response data from MYS. Suppliers will be paid a fixed fee (PS20,000 ex VAT) for successful development, testing and go-live of APIs when completed in accordance with NHSBSA standards and completion dates. Contract commences 18/01/2023 Contractor User interface for the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service captures the required data as outlined in the advanced service specification presented 24/2/2023 Pharmacy Contractor has access to user interface to allow input of details for the Pharmacy Contraception Service delivered 01/03/2023 Contraception API assurance testing complete 19/3/2023 Successful transmission of a live service message via the API 26/3/2023 Transmission of any live service messages input by pharmacy contractors from the commencement of the advanced service on 1 March 2023 - 31/03/2023 Supplier Requirements 1-deliver the requirements and key (testing and development) milestones within the timescales set out herein; 2-have the following capabilities within their systems: 2a-access to The Personal Demographics Service (PDS) 2b-access to Electronic Health Records 2c-summary Care Record (SCR) 1-click functionality is preferable, but not essential 2d-access to The Electronic Prescription Service Tracker 2e-access to NICE Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS) 2f-access to The Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d) 3-have been accredited/certified by NHSD against points 2a-2f and can evidence where requested 4-enter into a Non-Processor Agreement 5-support ongoing changes to the service up to twice annually for the duration of the contract. 6-deliver the requirements against the fixed price of PS20,000 ex VAT 7-there will be no charges levied to the Pharmacy Contractor. We expect that no charges will be levied to the Pharmacy Contractors for the term of the agreement. Entering into this agreement means you will be receiving PS20k ex VAT for developing this service and this includes support and claim management when it is live. To access all documentation suppliers must register an interest via https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. To access the documentation suppliers must search opportunities using system reference C120751.
