Flight Simulator
Notice Description
The University had a requirement for the purchase of a flight simulator. The simulator was to be used to allow engineering students to experience flying different aircraft. It needed to be immersive, give realistic feeling control and a wide array of data simulating real world conditions. The following technical specifications were required: * To provide an immersive experience the simulator should feature either multiple displays and/or VR. * The ability to simulate multiple different fixed wing aircraft. * Different flight control options with a minimum of a single yoke and a flight stick. * A minimum of a single seat included. * Multiple displays showing live simulated data. * Flight control switch panel (this needs to be operational but doesn't need to be an exact replica of a specific aircraft). * All computing requirements and software for operation should be included. * Able to be powered using UK 3 pin plugs (240v).
