Notice Description

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking to establish a Framework with reputable, suitably experienced and qualified organisations or groups of organisations to provide an innovative, creative and flexible programme of day activities for adults with learning disabilities, including those with complex healthcare needs. The service model aims to focus on supporting people to progress and develop or maintain their independence within the community by promoting a "think work first" culture and by offering a greater variety of developmental activities with greater choice, personalisation and flexibility, supporting individuals to develop their skills, progress and achieve the outcomes set as part of their assessment by the Community Learning Disability Service (CLDS) through active participation in a wide range of activities in the community. The procurement consists of four separate Lots. A bidders' event will be held on Tuesday 26th November 2019, 11a.m. at Town Hall, Mulberry Place, 5 Clove Crescent, London E14 2BG Please register your interest to attend the event through the Portal or by sending an email to eleea.islam1@nhs.net by 12 noon on 22nd November 2019. Additional information: Lot 1 - A programme of developmental activities for adults with learning disability - Total Value PS 8,000,000 Provision of a wide range of activities that people can participate in individually or in groups delivered in a range of premises. This must include indoor and outdoor activities and consist of activities which develop cognition, social skills, life skills, employability and physical and mental health. The programme must include participation in community activities; it must not consist solely of activities delivered in one centre in which all participants have learning disability. Lot 2 - Support for individuals to participate in mainstream activities - Total Value PS 1,000,000 Provision to support and enable people with learning disability to participate in a wide range of mainstream community activities in a range of premises. This includes provision of support to people individually or in groups to enable them to participate in activities and support for adaptations by mainstream community activity providers to enable them to include adults with learning disability. This provision includes indoor and outdoor activities which develop cognition, social skills, life skills, employability and physical and mental health. The provision must not be activities where all participants have learning disability. Lot 3 - Single activities and clubs, including peer led activities - Total Value PS 200,000 Provision of single activities or clubs on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Lot 4 - Day centre support for people with learning disability who also have autism who have high/complex needs and behaviour that challenges - Total Value PS 2,600,000 This contract falls under the Light Touch Regime and will be a framework agreement with four lots.
